Manchester United have released an eye-catching Stone Roses collaboration with Adidas which is inspired by John Squire’s remarkable artwork.

Mancunian band The Stone Roses has had a connection with Manchester United for many years. A lot of the band members are Reds and the newly released collection combines the city’s love for music, fashion and football.

You will hear a classic from The Stone Roses whenever United walk out onto the pitch at Old Trafford.

Ian Brown’s voice rings around the stadium when the PA system plays This Is The One. That has been the case since the early 2000s, thanks to former captain Gary Neville who requested it be played instead of a song from the Rocky movie.

It includes a range of t-shirts, scarves and bucket hats, as well as training gear and a Manchester United x Stone Roses jersey.

Both the men’s and women’s teams will warm up for their games wearing some of the training gear this weekend. Erik ten Hag’s team face Aston Villa in the Premier League and Marc Skinner will be aiming to see the women’s side process in the FA Cup against Southampton.
