Manchester United youngster Willy Kambwala has reportedly rejected an offer to extend his contract.

The 19-year-old, who is a homegrown player, is under contract at United until 2025. He impressed when called upon in the first-team last season and most fans would’ve expected him to sign an extension.

Erik ten Hag promoted Kambwala to the United first-team last season after the club endured an injury crisis at centre-back. His debut came in December last year during a defeat to West Ham in the Premier League.

Kambwala finished his first season in the senior team with 10 appearances.

German football reporter Christopher Michel took to X, formerly known as Twitter, after morning to provide an intriguing update on Kambwala’s contract situation.

The centre-back has interest from the US, France, Germany and Spain following a breakthrough season with United.

Michel believes Kambwala’s preference is to move to Spain.
