The two ROH legends have wrestled numerous times over the years, but never in singles matches. The Briscoes have faced Bryan Danielson and his various partners over the years, with both men trading victories.

The ROH Champion named Bryan Danielson, revealing that they’d never faced one-on-one in their long careers.
“Mark Briscoe and Bryan Danielson have never wrestled one-on-one. We shared the same ring, you know, probably a dozen times, but never one-on-one.”
Mark Briscoe On Wrestling Bryan Danielson For The First Time
Mark Briscoe explained his history with Bryan Danielson. He spoke about their various tag team matches against one another, including how he was intimidated by the American Dragon when they started out.
“I tell you. The first time I was in the ring with Bryan, it was me and Jay versus Bryan and Samoa Joe. Just real quick, in a nutshell: the event that me and my brother went to, where we gave the promoter our backyard wrestling VHS, was what got us in. He agreed to train us at 15 and 16, with our parents signing liability waivers and whatnot. That show was a Super 8 in, no, 2000.”
“Bryan Danielson was a Super 8 alumni. He was just kind of breaking in, along with Spanky. There was a group of them that Shawn Michaels had trained down there, and they had a reputation—Shawn Michaels training these guys. I remember American Dragon versus Low Ki, and that was one of those matches that, as a young wrestling fan, just sucked you in and captivated you.”
“The first time me and Brian wrestled, which was me and my brother Jay versus him and Samoa Joe, I was in a little bit of awe of American Dragon. Not to mention, Samoa Joe’s big, burly, scary self—I was probably 17 or 18 years old, and I hadn’t fully grown into my body yet. Brian kicked the [expletive] out of me in that match, if I remember correctly.”
