Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reports that several promoters have noted that Matt Cardona has informed them that he has suffered a torn pec that will require surgery. Additional details are currently unclear. There is no word on how the injury occurred or how long Cardona will be sidelined.
Cardona has been active on the independent scene in recent months. He also recently returned to TNA, but he is still a free agent. Cardona made a one-off return to AEW on the March 30 episode of AEW Collision, where he answered Adam Copeland’s open challenge.
