Matt Hardy predicts that CM Punk will be looked at as a model employee in WWE by the end of 2025.

Punk returned to WWE in November 2023. This came after his turbulent run in AEW ended with his contract being terminated. Since his return, several members of the roster have spoken highly of Punk.

Matt Hardy recently discussed CM Punk’s WWE return run on The Extreme Life Of Matt Hardy. Looking ahead, he predicted that Punk would be looked at as a model employee. He also noted that WWE is a better fit for Punk. (H/t Wrestling Inc. for the transcription)

“At the end of 2025, CM Punk will be looked at within WWE as a role model employee for the company. He’ll have a year where he goes through happy, content, and there won’t be any issues with him.” Hardy said. “The authority structure is going to come off in WWE much more solid and much more stable than it was in AEW … There were so many different controversies when he showed up [in AEW]. People were like oh my God, he’s gonna be gone or he’s gonna f*** up … He’s enjoying everything. He just seems very comfortable in what he’s doing, and for him that’s good, because he seemed very stressed at AEW.”

CM Punk Wants To Give Back

Punk recently spoke on Night Cap and shared his thoughts as to where he saw himself after he retired from the ring. He stated that he wanted to give back to the business. Punk noted that it was important to help while you were active, too.

“I do think there’s an avenue for me to continue to be in the business behind the scenes helping,” Punk said. “But I think if you’re worth your weight, you’re doing that now. I think on a football team on a hockey team on a baseball team, there’s the veterans that help bring in the new talent, the young guys, and they help move things along.

“[There’s] three parts to a career,” he continued. “When you start, to me that’s when you learn. There’s the middle part, that’s where you earn. Ad the third part is return, now you give back. So I would definitely look forward to that third act and giving back to the business to me has given me so much.”
