After three years at Olympique de Marseille, Mattéo Guendouzi decided to join Italy and more precisely Lazio Rome last summer. A profitable choice, since the 24-year-old player continues his tenure with the Romans, in Serie A as well as in the Champions League (until the elimination against Bayern Munich). However, the midfielder does not forget OM, quite the contrary, and has very good memories of his time there and his 103 matches played with the Olympian jersey.

“I will always repeat it: with Marseille, it was love at first sight, a real crush for the club, the city and its supporters”first recalled the French international (7 selections) during an interview with the newspaper The Parisian. “From the first matches, at home or away, I felt a fervor that I will never find elsewhere. That's why everyone said I was made for the club. I felt like home from the start”, said Guendouzi. He will have the opportunity to return to the Stade Vélodrome on Tuesday, with the Blues, during the match against Chile.
