Matthew Lillard is the latest star to join the upcoming Scream 7! The 55-year-old actor will be returning to the franchise after starring in the first Scream movie, Deadline reveals. Matthew also confirmed the news with a cryptic post on Instagram. Keep reading to find out more… The actor shared a video of seemingly his hand writing a note, which says, “My mom and dad are gonna be soo mad at me!!” For those that may not know, Matthew played Stuart “Stu” Macher in the first movie, out in 1996, but the character seemingly died. Stu was Billy Loomis/Ghostface’s accomplice and while he was chasing Neve Campbell‘s Sidney Prescott, she dropped a TV on his head. Stu and Billy also stabbed each other to make themselves look like victims. It is currently unclear how Matthew will be returning and if he’s bringing Stu back. Filming on Scream 7 kicked off earlier this month, and there are several franchise stars coming back, and a couple who are not.
