A hat-trick from Matheus Cunha and an Axel Disasi own goal saw Wolves complete the double over Chelsea in a deserved victory.

Chants of ‘We’re f****** s***!' could be heard from Blues fans as they stared down the barrel of yet another disappointing performance.

Even Thiago Silva's wife, Belle, took to X to say: "It's time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late."

Frustrations are clear to see in west London and with the pressure building on Pochettino, he wanted to apologise to the fans.

Speaking to talkSPORT following the home defeat, he said: "Of course I understand the feeling. We are Chelsea and we need to accept that they want to win, they want the best.

"Yes, they feel disappointed, I apologise from the team because I think they feel disappointed like us."

Chelsea are winless in their last three matches in all competitions, with Sunday's result following a 4-1 hammering by Liverpool.

The Blues appeared to turn a corner after their Christmas Eve defeat at Wolves as they won five of following six games.

However, performances in their victories against Luton Town, Crystal Palace and Fulham were far from inspiring, with their latest loss arguably one of the worst all season.

Cole Palmer gave Chelsea the lead but Cunha's first goal of the afternoon came just moments later to inspire Wolves' win.

Disasi's own-goal came just before half-time and Cunha sealed his hat-trick in the second half before Silva's consolation header.

Next up for Chelsea is an FA Cup fourth round replay against Aston Villa, and defeat would leave the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool on February 25 as their last hope of success for the season.
