We’re getting a mini Big Bang Theory reunion! It has been announced that Mayim Bialik will be making a special guest appearance on season three of her former co-star Melissa Rauch‘s NBC sitcom Night Court. If you forgot, Mayim, 48, and Melissa, 44, played Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler and Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, respectively on The Big Bang Theory. Keep reading to find out more…Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Mayim will be playing a version of herself, who turns up in court as a defendant and befriends Melissa‘s character Judge Abby Stone. Abby is a big fan of Mayim‘s ’90s sitcom Blossom and is excited to get to know more about her, but things take a turn when Abby learns that Mayim is stalking her. In an interview with EW, Mayim said it was a “surreal” experience working with Melissa again, but on a different show. “It feels like I should be dressed like Amy and she should be dressed like Bernadette,” Mayim shared. “There’s definitely a lot of surreal moments and just a huge nostalgia factor. Melissa and I were next to each other for nine years of our lives and shared a huge section of our time together, as did the entire cast. She and I were brought on together in season 4 on Big Bang, so we really trudged a very similar path in terms of our timing.” Mayim also teased that there will be some “meta references” to The Big Bang Theory during her appearance on Night Court. “That’s all I can tease,” Mayim said. “The episode is kind of meta in the most meta way. Not fully breaking the fourth wall, but breaking the fourth wall of the mind of the audience. So it’s pretty cute and I laugh a lot during rehearsal, so I’ll have to get that out of my system for tape day.” Mayim is now the second Big Bang Theory star to make an appearance on Night Court. Kunal Nayyar (aka Dr. Raj Koothrappali) made a guest appearance in season 2. It was also recently revealed that three stars of The Big Bang Theory will be starring in a new spinoff series. Season 3 of Night Court premieres on Tuesday, November 19, at 8:30pm ET on NBC.
