The chances of seeing the captain of the France team extend his contract with PSG seem to be melting like snow in the sun…

At the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain on June 30 and free to join the club of his choice since January 1, the native of Bondy continues to maintain uncertainty around his future. Two years ago, the first “Mbappé soap opera” ended with a contract extension.

This time, the outcome could well be the opposite. “For the moment, in Paris, the time is not for optimism regarding an extension of Kylian Mbappé: the trend does not seem to be towards a new contract but this still remains to be confirmed”confided Fabrice Hawkins, journalist following the capital club, on RMC.

🚨 PSG would like to know quickly the decision of 🇫🇷 Kylian Mbappé for his future.

The club wants to know if it will have to replace him, especially since sources at the club are pessimistic about an extension for the native of Bondy.

“At PSG, we always hope that the player will extend even if the more time passes, the more the hope dwindles. The club is also preparing a plan B, a sign that now is not the time for optimism”, continues Hawkins. Last week, Nasser al-Khelaïfi, however, was confident about the chances of the capital club to secure the contract extension of Kylian Mbappé. “The best place for him is Paris, as a French player, as captain of the national team, vice-captain of PSG (…) He has the ambition to do great things with Paris. We have everything you need”had underlined the president of PSG.
