McKenzie Mitchell shares her thoughts on a potential return to WWE.

In December 2023, McKenzie Mitchell, a backstage interviewer for WWE NXT, was released by WWE. Mitchell initially joined WWE in September 2019, just months after she left IMPACT/TNA Wrestling.

During a recent interview with XeniaDidThat, Mitchell was asked whether she wanted to circle back to WWE in the future.

“I’ve said this, and I think it’s so cliche, but it’s so true, never say never,” Mitchell said. “For me, I didn’t get to check some things off my list in WWE. I wanted to have that WrestleMania moment of my own. I think it’s important to think of that.

“You asked me like are the talent of the interviewer are just as important as the Superstar, and I think that’s true. I think yes, we work just as hard. So for me, I didn’t get to tick those things off of my list, of WrestleManias, Royal Rumbles, SmackDowns, Raws, being on tour. For me, I’d love to go back if that door still remains open.”

Since departing from WWE, Mitchell has remained active in the professional wrestling realm, with broadcast-related appearances in Reality of Wrestling and Maple Leaf Pro, the latter of which hosted its return event back in October 2024.

Fans have also seen Mitchell behind the commentary desk as Scarlett Sublime for “The Last Match: A Pro-Wrestling Rock Experience,” which went on tour throughout the spring of 2024. Outside of wrestling, Mitchell is the proud owner of Headline by MM, her jewelry brand.
