The Abdukodir Khusanov case is coming to an end. Author of an excellent start to the season under the colors of Racing Club de Lens, the Uzbek defender is very close to finding a new base.
According to information from Foot Mercato, RC Lens have reportedly reached an agreement with Manchester City for the transfer of the 20-year-old defender. The two parties would have agreed for the sum of 50 million euros.
A big blow from the Lens management who had recruited the player for the sum of 100,000 euros in the summer of 2023.
Khusanov will take a new step in his career
Everything is going very quickly for Abdukodir Khusanov. Promoted to the starting position within the Sang et Or defense by Will Still, the 20-year-old player should, unless there is a turnaround, commit to four-time English champion Manchester City until 2030.
The Uzbek defender will move into a new dimension by joining the Premier League and the city of Manchester. The future ex-Lensois will face fierce competition within Pep Guardiola’s defense where he will play alongside players like Ruben Dias, Kyle Walker, Josko Gvardiol, Nathan Aké and John Stones.
