AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné made a surprise appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

This past week was a very special week for fans of professional wrestling and comic book lovers. It was the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con event. During the two-day event, All Elite Wrestling had a separate panel for both days. On the first day, the panel comprised of President Tony Khan, AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, Will Ospreay, the Women’s Champion Toni Storm, Orange Cassidy, and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

During the event, Mercedes Moné showed up on the panel unexpectedly and it ended in an altercation. Moné did not come alone. She came with Kamille, her newest recruit and AEW’s newest signee. Kamille was cosplaying one of Batman’s greatest foes, Bane. The CEO, on the other hand, was dressed up as Poison Ivy.

Moné’s latest vlog revealed one more surprise that Batman fans might appreciate.

Moné shared more Comic-Con footage in her new vlog, which saw her wearing a monkey costume. This disguise was actually a clever reference to Uma Thurman’s turn as Poison Ivy in the 1997 film Batman & Robin. The film largely has a poor reputation amongst comic book fans, but its colorful and campy theme still provides opportunities for fun cosplay.

Moné’s disguise and costume is from the scene where Poison Ivy and Bane sneak into a gala. Ivy does a burlesque dance, removing her gorilla costume before seducing the crowd.

Mercedes Moné versus Britt Baker confirmed for AEW All In

Moné was part of the AEW panel on the second day and it was where she revealed her first action figure as an AEW wrestler.

As mentioned earlier Mercedes Moné showed up at the Comic-Con event on day one. She arrived and instantly began to take shots at Britt Baker. Moné also claimed that Baker would never hold the AEW TBS Championship.

“Comic Con. Please say hello to your CEO… I got it from here because I got a couple of questions for Britt too. One, I’m surprised that you are even here. How are you feeling after last night at AEW Dynamite? Huh? And another question Britt, how does it feel that you are never going to be as good as Mercedes Moné? How does it feel that you are never going to get the TBS Champion ever again? How does it feel that you are not going to have a match at All In? Because I’m going to be facing anybody but you. But Britt, I’ll let you get a little close look at this for the very last time because you are never going to get this title b****,” Mercedes Moné said.

AEW President Tony Khan then took control of the microphone and announced that both Moné and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D would wrestle each other for the first time at AEW All In.
