Hulu has set a premiere date for Mid-Century Modern, the new comedy from Max Mutchnick and David Kohan that also marked Linda Lavin‘s final role before her death in December.

The multi-cam series that also hails from Ryan Murphy is set bow March 28 on the streamer. It follows three gay gentlemen of a certain age who, after an unexpected death, decide to spend their golden years living together in Palm Springs where the wealthiest one lives with his mother. As a chosen family, they prove that no matter how hard things get, there’s always someone around to remind you it would be better if you got your neck done.

The show stars Nathan Lane as Bunny Schneiderman, Matt Bomer as Jerry Frank, Nathan Lee Graham as Arthur Broussard and Lavin as Sybil Schneiderman, Bunny’s mother. Guest stars include Pamela Adlon, Vanessa Bayer, Kimberly Coles, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Judd Hirsch, Richard Kind, Stephanie Koenig, Billie Lourd, Esther Moon Wu, Jaime Moyer, Cheri Oteri, Rhea Perlman, Zane Phillips and more.

Last month, Mutchnick revealed how Lavin’s character will be written off the comedy. She filmed seven of the 10 episodes and the title of Lavin’s final episode, “Here’s to you Mrs. Schneiderman,” will reflect that her character dies.

The veteran stage and TV actress died last December.

“This Week at ‘Mid Century Modern’ we filmed an episode I never thought we’d have to write,” Mutchnick posted last month on Instagram. “Saying goodbye to the character of Sybil was painful. Saying goodbye to Linda Lavin was heartbreaking.”

Lane and Bomer also executive produce the series, along with James Burrows, who also serves as director. 20th Television is the studio.
