MLW is set to return to Atlanta on September 14th for its FIGHTLAND show.
The company hosted Battle Riot VI event in the city on June 1, which was recorded at Center Stage in Atlanta. This included a massive 40-man Battle Riot match.
Matt Riddle won the Battle Riot match. He eliminated Sami Callihan last to earn a shot at the MLW Heavyweight Championship.
The show also included three other matches, including stars like Tom Lawlor, Satoshi Kojima and AJ Francis. Following the success of the event, MLW have announced their return to Atlanta later this year.
On their website, MLW revealed they will be bringing a “premium live event special and TV taping” to the City on September 14 with FIGHTLAND. They will once again be broadcasting from Center Stage Theatre, following the “overwhelming success” of Battle Riot VI.
A number of stars are confirmed to appear at the show. MLW revealed wrestlers including Matt Riddle, Satoshi Kojima, Mistico and Sami Callihan will appear on the show. The company will announce specific matches for FIGHTLAND closer to the event.
MLW owner Court Bauer provided a statement promoting the show. He said, “After selling out with our debut at Center Stage, we are excited to bring the action back to the southern capitol of wrestling. The fans in Atlanta are incredible, and we’re looking forward to delivering another unforgettable night of wrestling with one of our biggest shows of the year, FIGHTLAND.”
