‘Modern Family’s Phil, Claire, Cam & Mitchell Reunite For WhatsApp Commercial

Modern Family alums Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson reunited in character in the Dunphy family’s living room for a new commercial for WhatsApp.

The 30-second spot opens with Phil, Claire and Cam gushing about a “precious” photo of Haley and Dylan’s twins. Enter Mitchell who is quite unhappy he did not receive the photo because he had been left off the family group chat. “Shame, shame,” scolds Mitchell, to which Cam responds, “It’s not you. It’s your new phone.”

“Blurred photos, weird likes” notes Claire, so they started a family chat without him. The Dunphys’ housepainter who just happens to overhear the conversation comes to the rescue with a solution: “If your group has different phones, just use WhatsApp. It’s seamless and private.”

We later see Cam and Mitchell enjoying family photos on WhatsApp.

Stonestreet shared a photo of the foursome on Instagram after the spot went live, writing “It was fun getting some of the band back together.”
