She’s pretty in purple.
Molly Ringwald made her modeling debut at Tuesday night’s Batsheva show during New York Fashion Week, strutting her stuff in an ’80s-inspired style as she hit the catwalk for the first time.
Designer Batsheva Hay exclusively cast women 40 years old and up in her show, which the 55-year-old “Breakfast Club” beauty opened in a chic black dress styled with a mourning veil and matching lace-trimmed muff.
She later modeled a violet dress with puffed sleeves and metal rivets that wouldn’t have looked out of place in one of her 1980s flicks.
The “Sixteen Candles” actress wore her famous red hair down and straight for the fashion show — along with a look by the show’s official makeup sponsor, Laura Geller Beauty, created using the brand’s Modern Classic Matte Lipstick ($21) and Ultimate Palette Hidden Gems ($49 $25).

“I chose to cast women over 40 because I wanted to explore the unique experience of aging. I am now over 40 and feel a new sense of vitality, while also feeling invisible to the world in many ways,” Batsheva Hay said in a press release.
“I wanted to show how amazing getting older is — in terms of style and so much more.”
