Montpellier misses the mark against Lille

In numerical superiority for a period, Montpellier was unable to find the fault against Lille this Sunday (0-0).

Frustration. This is the feeling shared by the two teams this Sunday at La Mosson. Montpellier and Lille left there back to back, with a goalless draw but not without opportunities on both sides. Infuriating as the three points once seemed promised to the Hérault residents in particular.

Dominant in the first period, the Montpellier team got a boost at the end of this initial act when young Bouaddi saw red on a second warning (45e+1). However, nothing has happened. Chevalier kept a watchful eye in the northern cage and it was even the Mastiffs who proved to be the most dangerous in the second period.

Also frustrating on an accounting level

Obviously tired, the MHSC players have to settle for a small point which leaves them in 12e elite rank, with only three points ahead of the red zone. Losc for its part is missing the opportunity to join Monaco and Brest in the Top 4. Now under threat from Reims, fifth in ambush.
