When Sunnie Dian and her mother, Eva, joined the cast of TLC’s “sMothered,” they never expected that their penchant for giving each other vajacials — yes, beauty treatments on their nether regions — would cause controversy.

“For me, the vajacial thing is just about cleanliness and I think it’s gross that people think it’s gross,” Sunnie, 36, tells Page Six in an exclusive interview alongside her 65-year-old mom.

“I’m like, ‘Do you not clean your kitty down there? It’s weird that you don’t do that,’” she explains.

“Your mom was the first person to see that, so why not it be your mom and she’s a professional at it?”

Eva and Sunnie — who, like the rest of the stars of “sMothered” (co-produced by The Post), share a uniquely close relationship — are boutique salon owners who specialize in aesthetics, and often practice their skills on the other.

In addition to performing intimate spa treatments on each other — including anal bleaching and bikini waxing — the Texas-based duo often rely on one another to shave their armpits.

Eva, for her part, shares a sterile assessment of such eyebrow-raising activity.

“In my opinion, it’s more [medical]. This is how God created us, especially women,” she says, placing emphasis on the vajacials that incited a stir among viewers.

“[The vagina] has to be cleaned, it has to be sanitized, from the underwear to the surface,” Eva elaborates. “Maybe we need to talk more about it to educate the people, you know?”

Sunnie — who proclaims that mother-daughter vajacials are “just so normal!” — finds any criticism to be “sad” as it signals to her a weak parental bond.

Like the rest of the stars of “sMothered” (co-produced by The Post), Sunnie and Eva share a uniquely close relationship. TLC

“It made me sad for other people that they don’t have a relationship with their mom that I do,” she says, reflecting on the backlash she and Eva have received since making their “sMothered” debut in 2023’s Season 5.

“How shocked people are, I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’ I just want to hug them and be like, ‘You don’t have this love, so you don’t understand it,’” she continues. “So, it just makes me sad that other people don’t have that, that closeness with their mom.”

Sunnie and Eva are so close that they often wear vials of each other’s blood as jewelry — à la Hollywood exes Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, who shocked the public by doing just that throughout their three-year marriage that ended in 2003.

“Yeah, see? She did it, too!” Sunnie says when reminded of Jolie’s past. “People do that with ashes and stuff, so I don’t see anything wrong with it. They do that with people who have passed away. I’m like, why not do it while my mom is still alive so we can enjoy it?”

After starring alongside Eva on “sMothered,” Sunnie — whose reality TV resume includes appearances on “Couples Court,” “Divorce Court” and “A Night With My Ex” — is gearing up for the release of a juicy tell-all book about her dating life.

In “The Chronicles of John Doe: Dating Disasters,” Sunnie and former Playboy Playmate Veronica Gomez are detailing wild experiences with men who range from scammers to sex addicts.

“It’s going to be good,” says Sunnie, who is currently in a serious relationship with a man named Scottie.

“I don’t care what my exes think, but they better be prepared,” she further teases. “Sure, we’re keeping the guys anonymous — but we held nothing back. They’ll be able to figure it out.”

“The Chronicles of John Doe: Dating Disasters” is slated for a 2024 release. TLC’s “sMothered” is available to stream on the TLC GO app and Max.
