José Mourinho had fine words when he arrived in Turkey to take charge of Fenerbahçe.

Sunday evening, José Mourinho discovered his new club Fenerbahçe Istanbul. The Portuguese has linked his future to the prestigious Istanbul team. Even if he will coach in a championship which is not part of the European top for the first time since 2004, “The Special One” will take up this challenge.

When he arrived at Ulker Stadium, the Lusitanian technician was able to meet the Canaries fans. He expressed his gratitude to them. “I have felt the love you have shown me since my name was mentioned at Fenerbahçe. Normally, a coach receives this love after a victory. But you showed this love from the beginning. he blurted.

Mourinho already won over by Fenerbahçe and its supporters

The former Chelsea coach also said he was determined to bring Fener back to the top: “It also gives me a lot of responsibility. I promise you that from now on I belong to your family, this jersey is like my skin, like my bones. I want to say that your dreams are my dreams…”.

“Football is a passion for you and me. I believe I am in one of the best places to feel this passion. Since the day I met Ali Koç, I wanted to be here for you. You are a very large group of supporters. I wanted to be here for your passion. I want to work here to help Turkish football, but the most important thing is Fenerbahçe,” concluded Mourinho.
