After the losses in the 2024 election, Democrats are searching for the way forward, with plenty of post-mortem calls for a rebrand or overhaul of the party.
There is a large field of candidates for DNC chair, including Ken Martin, chair of the Minnesota DFL; Martin O’Malley, former governor of Maryland; Faiz Shakir, campaign manager for Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign; and Ben Wikler, chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party. The winner will succeed Jaime Harrison.
MSNBC held a live event last fall at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. MSNBC Live: Democracy 2024 drew a sold-out crowd of about 4,000, according to the network.
