The next major Pay-per-view for the Nashville-based promotion TNA is the Against All Odds event. The PPV is scheduled to take place at the Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois on Friday the 14th of June. Now, the Nashville-based promotion has announced two major title matches for the show.
TNA Wrestling broke the news via Twitter that both the World Heavyweight Title and the World Tag Team Titles will be defended at the Against The Odds Pay-per-view. Currently, both the championships mentioned above are held by members of The System. Moose is the World Heavyweight Champion and The System’s Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers are the World Tag Team Champions.
Moose will be wrestling the Broken Warrior, former WWE Superstar, Matt Hardy in the main event of Against All Odds.
“BREAKING: @MATTHARDYBRAND will challenge @TheMooseNation for the TNA World Championship at #AgainstAllOdds on June 14! Don’t miss the action, streaming LIVE on TNA+ from Cicero Stadium in Chicago,” TNA Wrestling tweeted.
Matt Hardy made a shocking return to the Nashville-based promotion last month at the Rebellion Pay-per-view. Instantly he made his intentions clear. Moose had successfully retained his title against Nic Nemeth. Hardy showed up following the match, confronted Moose and set his sights on the World title.
The following week on TNA IMPACT, both Nemeth and Hardy seemed to have sent a warning to The System. This week on Impact, Hardy teamed up with Ryan Nemeth to take on the current TNA World Tag Team Champions. The duo pulled of an upset victory. Following the match, Moose attacked Matt Hardy. Nic Nemeth showed up to even the odds.
As a result, the Nemeth brothers got themselves a title opportunity. Ryan and Nic Nemeth will take on the System for the TNA World Tag Team titles.
Multiple matches announced for TNA IMPACT next week
Not only were huge matches announced for the upcoming TNA PPV, but major matches were announced for next week’s TNA IMPACT. Fans will get to witness tag team partners go to war against each other. It will be Ace Austin taking on Chris Bey. Sami Callihan will also be competing next week against Jonathan Gresham. Joe Hendry will be taking on one half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions, Eddie Edwards. Wrestling will also get to watch Mike Santana and Steve Maclin go at it one more time. The last time the two wrestled each other was at the TNA Rebellion PPV, Santana picked up the win that night.
Adding to this, The First Class, the duo of Rich Swann and AJ Francis will reveal which championship they will be going after.
