As is so frequently the case these days, Marcus Rashford is the hot topic of conversation for the majority of ex-players-turned-pundits.
It’s been no different this week, either. Paul Scholes and Jamie Carragher took turns chastising the outcast Manchester United star on The Overlap earlier this week, while today’s release of the new Stick to Football episode sees the panel weigh in.
Tonight, when the Reds take on FCSB in their final Europa League group-phase fixture, it’ll mark the 13th successive game that Rashford has been left out by Ruben Amorim, with his last outing coming on December 12.
He continues to be linked with a host of clubs heading into the very final stages of the transfer window but is yet to agree a move elsewhere – primarily due to his costly £325,000-a-week wages, which are proving to be quite the stumbling block for any interested clubs.
The 27-year-old is contracted to Old Trafford until 2028 following his lucrative extension at the end of his career-best 30-goal campaign in 2022/2023. As it stands, FootballTransfers values Rashford at £45.2 million.
Roy Keane tears into exiled Rashford

“I can’t get involved in the conversation. I still can’t understand at any level. Whatever’s going on with players leaving, months left on contracts, a player who doesn’t train properly – I don’t understand it,” said the former club captain.
“You might as well leave me out of this conversation. Especially if you think he wants to move, which is more of a reason to train properly so when you go to a new club, you’re up to speed, and when you leave the club, at least you showed a decent attitude. He must be ashamed.”
