The future of Mason Greenwood remains up in the air.

It doesn’t look like the forward will play for Manchester United again, and we already know Getafe want to keep him beyond his loan deal.

However, Getafe are unlikely to have the funds to meet United’s asking price for Greenwood.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe pledged to make a fresh decision on the matter rather than agree with that of former chiefs Richard Arnold and John Murtough when the club decided it would be best for Greenwood to continue his career elsewhere.

Atletico Madrid and Juventus are other clubs believed to be interested in a move for the 22-year-old, who has impressed during his time in Spain, registering 10 goals and six assists.

According to a report by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as cited by Tuttomercato, Napoli have ‘joined the race’ to sign Greenwood from United.

This report states that Napoli are ‘in the market’ for a new forward and Greenwood has emerged as a ‘potential option’.

As far as United are concerned, they will wait patiently for one of the interested parties to meet their demands for Greenwood’s signature.
