Neymar, a return that will hurt a lot

Neymar looks in fine fettle as he prepares to end his 11-month injury nightmare, with the Brazilian cleaning the top corner during Al-Hilal training.

The 32-year-old forward has been out of action since injuring knee ligaments during an appearance for his country in a World Cup qualifier on October 18, 2023. A long road to recovery has been taken by the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

Neymar has been limited to just five appearances and one goal for Al-Hilal, with fitness issues preventing him from featuring as prominently as he would have liked in the club’s 2023-24 Saudi Pro League triumph. He is, however, fully committed to the cause.

Neymar ready to break everything

Transfer rumours over the summer were quickly downplayed – amid speculation of a reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at MLS side Inter Miami – and Neymar will serve out the final year of his contract in the Middle East.

The Auriverde star appears to have his sights set on his goal as he prepares to return to action, finding the back of the net with ease during a shooting drill. Neymar is smiling again and will be hoping to impress the crowd with his prowess in the not too distant future.
