This Wednesday, Neymar went to his former club Santos to attend a match against Corinthians.

Transferred to Al-Hilal last summer for 90 million euros, Neymar did not have many opportunities to showcase his talent in Saudi Arabia, where the championship changed dimension, notably with the arrival of the Brazilian star. Victim of a cruciate ligament rupture in October, the former Parisian has not played since and is not expected to return to the field before the end of the season.

A hero’s return

In recent weeks, the player who recently celebrated his 32nd birthday has been noted for photos and videos that have gone viral due to his weight gain, to which he responded via an Instagram story. This Wednesday, he made a return to his training club on Santos FC in order to attend the match against Corinthians. The least we can say is that he received a warm welcome from his former audience, who chanted his name on numerous occasions and who did not hesitate to give him a standing ovation for his return to the Urbano-Caldeira Stadium.

After the victory of his former team (1-0), Neymar even went to meet the players in the locker room and posed for the traditional victory photo.
