Moose and Nic Nemeth react to their rankings.
This week, fans and pundits gathered for the release of the 2024 PWI 500, which celebrates the best performers that professional wrestling has to offer. WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard recently caught up with two of the men named to the prestigious list — Moose and TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth — to gather their reactions to their respective rankings.
While Moose landed the #15 spot, Nemeth followed shortly behind at #22. Naturally, Moose utilized this is a bragging point.
“You suck, Nic, you suck,” Moose joked. “I’m taking that title from you.”
In response, Nemeth sarcastically remarked, “I feel like I should just hand it over to you, seven times over.”
Comeback of the Year?
Amidst Nemeth’s ranking bio, Pro Wrestling Illustrated noted that he was a candidate for their Comeback of the Year award. Nemeth notably departed from WWE in September 2023 before resurfacing in NJPW, TNA Wrestling, and the indie circuit in 2024.
In addressing the idea of him making a “comeback,” Nemeth expressed some uncertainty as to whether he actually made one. “Oh,” he shrugged. “I didn’t like break my leg or come back from something.”
“What are you coming back from?” Moose interjected. “The ass whooping I gave you at [TNA] Rebellion?”
Unimpressed by Moose’s statement, Nemeth pointed out that Moose didn’t even properly pin him when he had the chance at TNA Rebellion.
“That ass whooping? You didn’t even pin me, dips***,” Nemeth said. “You pulled my arm up instead of pinning me when you had me out for five seconds. So, yes, that’s what we’re all recovering from. You not knowing how to wrestle.”
“A win is a win,” Moose countered. “You can say whatever you want. A win is a win.”
On September 13, Nemeth will defend the TNA World Championship against Moose at TNA Victory Road.
