Eve Reveals Previously Feeling THIS Way Amid Nicki Minaj’s Rise In Rap

According to CNN, Eve appeared on the live broadcast and opened up about her experience in the music industry while speaking to the outlet’s Laura Coates. During their discussion, Eve transparently reflected on being “that one” in the music industry and having to deal with someone coming in and gaining just as much popularity.

“We’re human. Of course, you feel insecure. Of course, you feel protective. Of course, you feel — um, you know, [like] ‘Wow, do I still belong here?'” the rapper explained.

Furthermore, Eve explained that at the time in her life, she wasn’t drinking or utilizing practices she had previously to cope with the changes in her life. Instead, she had to use “other modalities,” such as therapy, to cope with the feeling of inferiority.

Nicki Minaj Pens Heartfelt Letter

On Sunday, September 22, Minaj retweeted a post shared by @FemaleRapRoom on X, formerly known as Twitter. The post alleged that Eve detailed her therapy journey in her new memoir ‘Who’s That Girl?’ In the text, Eve reportedly revealed that she decided to start her sessions before filming ‘Barbershop: The Next Cut’ alongside Minaj.

Eve reportedly did not want to “project” her “insecurities” onto the rising star.

“I’ve lived through what happens when women project their own insecurities onto other women. It happened at the start of my career and continued in waves as my fame grew. I wasn’t going to be that woman to… pic.twitter.com/XRcUOFJ41Q

In addition to reposting the tweet, Minaj penned a lengthy message addressed to Eve.

“Dear Eve, The various things you’ve shared recently, are groundbreaking (in my opinion) for so many reasons. First, thank you. The level of grace; the level of emotional & spiritual maturity it takes to be this vulnerable & transparent is a sign of TRUE peace, happiness, fulfillment, & mastery of self,” Minaj wrote.

As her message continued, Minaj reflected on watching Eve take the “game by storm.”

“there were some ppl who couldn’t hide their insecurities. Even tho it’s swept under the rug now, I remember that you handled it with grace… I was so nervous coming onto that movie set every day. You looked like a pro & I admired that so much… I remember telling a friend of mine that I didn’t think you liked me after our first day on set together,” Minaj wrote. “But you know something crazy? I swear. I KNEW that YOU could tell deep down inside that I really liked YOU. So you went easy on me… lol”
