Not This Time: Notable Name Absent From Monday Night Raw Amid Contract Uncertainty

Anyone see her? There have been all kinds of changes on the WWE roster in recent months as several contracts have come up for renewal. This has led to a mixture of wrestlers either signing up for a longer run with the company or deciding to try their luck elsewhere. It can be a big deal when someone goes away and now we might be seeing another longstanding veteran heading elsewhere.

According to Fightful Select, Natalya was not present at this week’s Monday Night Raw. This comes as her contract is said to expire at some point this summer, though it is not clear if that is why she was not in attendance. There is no word on if Natalya has signed a new deal, though WWE is said to want to keep her and the two sides are said to be in negotiations. Natalya made her WWE debut in 2008 and has been with the company since.

Opinion: While I’m not sure if it is going to happen, it is almost hard to fathom Natalya leaving WWE. She has been around for so long and is such a fixture of the women’s division that it would feel wrong to not have her there. If nothing else, she would seem like a great candidate to be a trainer for years to come. It would stun me to see her leave, as there is far too much value in having her around.
