This announcement relates to the first three rounds of Premier League and Newcastle United TV matches in February 2025.
Official club announcement on Newcastle United TV matches – 9 December 2024:
‘Newcastle United’s Premier League visit of Nottingham Forest has been rescheduled after being selected for live television coverage.
The Magpies were due to face the Tricky Trees at St. James’ Park on Saturday, 22nd February 2025 but the English top-flight encounter will now take place on Sunday, 23rd February and will be shown live on Sky Sports. A kick-off time for the game will be confirmed after Saturday, 15th December.
Any further alterations to United’s fixture schedule will be confirmed on newcastleunited.com in due course.’
The Premier League official announcement (see below) says that we won’t find out when the final NUFC game in February will be played and whether televised or not, until after the FA Cup fourth round draw. That is away at Anfield against Liverpool.
Official Premier League announcement – 9 December 2024:
‘The broadcast selections in the UK for Premier League fixtures in February 2025 have been announced.
Below is the revised schedule, including fixtures which have been moved due to European matches.
Due to complexities around the match calendar, the League will announce the selections for Match Round 27 (25-26 February) in the week commencing 13 January, following the FA Cup fourth-round draw.’
