With the four-year cycles of World Cups and Olympics, National Women’s Soccer League players are used to experiencing a change in the regular season as international players report for duty.

However, this year, the league is hosting their first-ever Summer Cup in partnership with Liga MX Femenil. Although 413 players from the league remain in the USA for the tournament, players from across the league are finding ways to keep up to date with their teammates in Paris in between training sessions.

Players rally in support of their teammates

Although the pause of the NWSL regular season has been somewhat of a break for players to get rest, it has also allowed them to keep growing as athletes as they play against new competition and watch others compete at the Olympic level.
