WWE removed Odyssey Jones from television in September 2024 amid domestic violence allegations and released him though the company did not confirm his departure. Jones recently released a video addressing the allegations.
Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling has reported an update on the situation. Citing court records, Thurston writes that Jones, real name Omari Palmer, was granted an order of protection against his ex-partner in September 2024.
Palmer petitioned the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orange County, Florida, and claimed that he was the target of harassment and threats from his ex-partner multiple times, and he also alleged that he was physically attacked. In his petition, Palmer claimed that he felt that he was in “imminent danger”, as his ex-partner’s behavior was escalating.
Thurston notes that the legal documents POST Wrestling obtained do not include statements from Palmer’s ex-partner. The report also notes that there are no known criminal charges or arrests that have been made related to these incidents.

Furthermore, the legal documents show that Palmer was granted a temporary injunction for dating violence on September 6, and it has since been extended twice. The injunction now stretches into 2028.
In Palmer’s petition, he claimed that he had an order of protection against his former partner in 2018, and she tried to file one against him as well, but he stated that her case was denied. Palmer said that their relationship resumed in 2023, and he cited a December 2023 incident in which his partner attacked him in front of witnesses.
Palmer detailed one of the alleged incidents in which his ex-partner attacked him on a cruise ship and claimed that she was taken into custody. Additionally, Palmer alleged that his ex-partner threatened retribution multiple times, and he claimed that she contacted his “new place of employment and succeeded in getting me fired this week.” WWE is not named, but this is seemingly referring to his release.
Palmer also claimed that he alleged stalking in a police report that he filed with the Maitland Police Department in Florida.
Per Thurston, Palmer did not respond to a request for comment.
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
