As FC Barcelona gear up for their trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup this week, manager Hansi Flick has announced the squad list of players who will be on the flight to the Middle East.
As reported earlier today, four players – Lamine Yamal, Andreas Christensen, Ferran Torres, and Hector Fort, have all received the medical clearance and have been included in the squad for the Super Cup.
Meanwhile, both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor are also travelling as expected even though their registration mess is yet to be sorted out by the club. As things stand, the pair would be ineligible to play in the competition.
Raphinha, who was rested against UD Barbastro, is also back in the squad.
Furthermore, Toni Fernandez, who became the second youngest debutant in the club’s history last week also makes the cut, along with fellow youngster Sergi Dominguez.
Marc Bernal, even though out injured, has been named in the squad after the player himself requested to travel with the group for the Super Cup.
Barcelona will face Athletic Club in the first semi-final on Wednesday, January 8. Should they prevail in the tie, a final meeting awaits against the winners of Real Madrid vs Mallorca.
