Official: Barcelona starting lineup against Athletic Club | La Liga GW2

As Barcelona look to secure their second La Liga win of the Hansi Flick era against Athletic Club today, the German tactician has announced the starting lineup that will take the field in Montjuic.

Coming on the back of a 2-1 win against Valencia last weekend, Flick has opted to refrain from making many changes to the team that started at Mestalla.

The only alteration comes in the midfield where Golden Boy and new fifth captain Pedri starts for Barcelona.

The Spaniard’s inclusion comes at the expense of youngster Marc Casado, who drops to the bench, while Pedri partners the prodigious Marc Bernal in midfield.

Meanwhile, Raphinha continues in the attacking midfield position like he did against Valencia, with Ferran Torres once again getting the nod on the left.

Lamine Yamal starts on the right and Robert Lewandowski slots in as the centre-forward for the hosts.

Pau Cubarsi pairs up with Inigo Martinez again at the heart of the Blaugrana defence, with Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde occupying the full-back positions. Captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen mans the goal.
