With the international break set to get underway after this weekend’s fixtures, Spain manager Luis de la Fuente has unveiled the squad list for their UEFA Nations League quarter-finals against the Netherlands.
And, as many as seven Barcelona players have been called up by De la Fuente for the matches later this month.
Indeed, Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Marc Casado, Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Ferran Torres, and Dani Olmo have all been named in the squad by manager De la Fuente.
Martinez has been one of the best defenders in La Liga this season and has been rewarded with a call-up for the first time since November 2023, alongside his regular defensive partner Cubarsi.

Given Balde’s recent run of form, there was a strong expectation that he would make it to the squad while Gavi was also tipped for a return to the squad after 14 months but De la Fuente has decided against handing the pair a call-up.
