Barcelona teenage sensation Lamine Yamal is having a standout season, with 12 goals and 17 assists in 37 matches across all competitions.

Beyond the numbers, he has become a crucial player in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona, which was visible when he put on a mesmerizing display in the win over SL Benfica earlier this week in the UEFA Champions League.

Lamine Yamal ahead of global superstars

Lamine’s form and impact are reflected in the latest rankings for the ‘best allrounder attackers’ from the CIES Football Observatory, which evaluates the top 100 attacking players in the world based on dribbling, playmaking, and finishing.

Michael Olise, now at Bayern Munich, tops the list with a score of 88.5 out of 100, while Lamine is a close second with 87.7. The top three is completed by Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz (85.0).

Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr. ranks just outside the podium in fourth place with an 84.2 rating. Former Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, now excelling under Luis Enrique at PSG, is fifth with a score of 83.6.

Lamine not only outperforms Vinicius and Wirtz but also ranks ahead of Real Madrid’s marquee signing of 2024, Kylian Mbappe. The French forward sits just outside the top 10 in 11th place with an 80.7 rating.

The Barcelona youngster leads the Top 10 in dribbling with a remarkable 90.1 rating. His playmaking is equally impressive at 90.4, though his finishing is slightly lower at 82.5.

Olise, meanwhile, takes the top spot primarily due to his near-perfect 99/100 playmaking score.

Raphinha is the only other Barcelona player on the list, ranking 19th overall. The Brazilian has an impressive finishing score (85.1) but is rated lower in dribbling, bringing his overall score down to 79.5.
