Ogun State Internal Revenue Service has encouraged taxpayers and agents to embrace its online payment platform, Electronic Tax Administration Portal, which allows for easier tax processing.

A statement from the agency on Monday indicated that the Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr Olugbenga Olaleye, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Olaleye said the agency was passionate about seamless remittance of revenue and, hence has commenced efforts to link the portal with ministries, departments and agencies of government, such as the Bureau of Lands Survey, Industry, Trade and Investment, among others.

He noted that the agency would continue to sensitise citizens of the state to the significance of prompt tax payment.

“For us at OGIRS, everything is digitalised, OGETAX makes payment easier, faster and less stressful for our taxpayers”, he said.

OGIRS has projected N100bn revenue for 2024 as against N90bn target for 2023.
