OL-PSG: almost a million euros in damage following the incidents

Saturday evening, the final of the Coupe de France between Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain left its mark, even before the start of the match. The brawls at the Fresnes-lès-Montauban tollbooth on the A1 motorway a few kilometers from Lille. 8 police officers injured, buses damaged, and significant material damage at the toll booth. Repairs are to be expected, at very high costs.

“Estimates are in progress. This is very significant damage. We can estimate, at this stage, that between 500,000 and one million euros will have to be put on the table to repair what was destroyed (…) As soon as our facilities are damaged, our responsibility is to file a complaint so that the perpetrators of this damage can be identified”indicated the operations and customer experience director of Sanef (company in charge of controlling the A1) Vincent Fanguet, on BFMTV. In addition, damage to the Pierre-Mauroy stadium was also recorded. Those responsible for the Lille area will carry out an analysis of the site to estimate the extent of the damage in the coming hours.
