OL-PSG incidents: investigation opened for violence in meetings and destruction

Following clashes between Parisian and Lyon supporters, ahead of the Coupe de France final in Lille, on Saturday evening, the Arras public prosecutor’s office, in Pas-de-Calais, announced this Monday the opening of an investigation after the clashes between groups of supporters which broke out late Saturday afternoon and which caused a violent fire around the Fresnes-lès-Montauban toll booth, where 30 supporters were injured in the clashes, including 14 were taken care of medically, assured the Northern prefecture.

The research section of the national gendarmerie of Lille Villeneuve d’Ascq was seized of a flagrant investigation by the Arras public prosecutor’s office, acts of aggravated destruction of the property of others by fire, damage during a meeting, and violence in meetingsexplained the Arras prosecutor, Sylvain Barbier Sainte Marie, in comments relayed by The Parisian. The criminal investigation must precisely determine the exact course of events, identify the victims, and identify the people involved, no perpetrator having been identified at this stage.“. The videos published by witnesses will be used to try to find the perpetrators.
