Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be brought in as Bayern Munich's interim boss should Thomas Tuchel leave, it has been reported.

Bayern are staring down the barrel of a first trophyless season since 2012 as defeat at the weekend saw them go eight points adrift in the Bundesliga title race.

Solskjaer has been out of work since being sacked at Old Trafford in November 2021

They're already out of the DFB-Pokal and are trailing in their Champions League last 16 tie against Lazio and naturally pressure is growing on manager Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel's job is safe for now, according to Bayern president Jan-Christian Dreesen, but Sky Germany reports that former Manchester United boss Solskjaer is being monitored by Bayern amid potential to become interim boss.

The report echoes Dreesen's claims that there are currently no plans to relieve Tuchel of his duties, however.
