The Olympique de Marseille striker made some strong comments this week.

Having arrived in a troubled context following the legal turmoil of his past, Mason Greenwood has been making headlines since he started wearing the jersey of theMarseille Olympics. If the man does not have unanimous support, the footballer meets expectations on the green rectangle.

The English striker has scored 5 goals in his first 3 appearances with Olympique de Marseille since the start of the championship. A total that has already allowed him to emerge as the top scorer in Ligue 1 ahead of Parisian Bradley Barcola (4 goals).

“It’s incredible”

Inevitably praised for his performances, Greenwood admitted to having been positively surprised by the atmosphere at the Stade Vélodrome.

“It’s incredible, I’ve never seen a crowd like that before, and I’ve played in a lot of stadiums in Europe, and obviously the Velodrome is the loudest, the English striker enthused in comments transcribed on the official OM website.. Playing for OM and scoring my first goal there meant a lot to me,” concluded the former Manchester United player.
