He’s banged up. Injuries can take place at any given moment in wrestling and you never know when someone is going to be put on the shelf. At the same time though, there is always the chance of a freak accident resulting in someone being injured and causing some issues as well. That is the case again with a WWE star, but it might not result in him missing time.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Here’s What Else WWE Is Planning To Add To WrestleMania

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis has announced that he has suffered a ruptured bicep and has undergone surgery to repair the injury. Aldis described it as the result of a freak accident and said that he will continue to fulfill his obligations. He did not reveal how or when he suffered the injury. There is nothing to suggest that he will be missing any television time as a result.

Yes, I just got out of surgery for a ruptured bicep tendon, and yes, the sheets had it within minutes. God bless 'em. Must be a slow news day…anyway it was a freak accident, I'm on the mend, and I will continue to fulfill my obligations. #SmackDown pic.twitter.com/wawHrsW70H

Aldis has started his tenure well. Check out his time as SmackDown General Manager:

Opinion: That’s never good to hear and hopefully Aldis heals up as fast as possible. It helps that he will not be out of the ring as a result of the injury. Aldis has done quite well in his role as the boss of SmackDown and it would be a shame for him to miss a bunch of time. Right now that doesn’t seem to be the case, though it does have me wondering what might happen if Aldis could be needed to get in the ring later.
