Orange Cassidy says AEW should evolve naturally, rather than trying to force anything.

Cassidy has been with AEW since 2019, and he has seen it grow a lot. The company continues to evolve heading into 2025, especially considering their new media rights deal will see them simulcast on Max.

Speaking with AMNY Metro, Orange Cassidy commented on AEW’s growth and their evolution.

“It’s tough for AEW because of how fast the company grew and for how successful it has been in just under, we’re talking five years. We’re growing and we’re changing, and we’re going through that weird middle school age of figuring out who you are and do you want your hair short or long. It’s important that AEW just takes the natural evolution, and we don’t try to force anything,

“Tony Khan has an incredible eye for talent, and he’s an incredibly generous person that understands professional wrestling. And no matter what changes we go through; I feel very secure in the fact that I know that Tony Khan will make sure that the best are wrestling for AEW.”

Jon Moxley On Orange Cassidy

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley recently shared his thoughts on Cassidy while speaking with Scott Fishman of TVInsider ahead of Full Gear.

“I think Orange Cassidy is a lot more serious than people give him credit for. I’ve been watching him for years. His critics didn’t understand him at first sight and said he would never be able to compete on a major league level. I instantly saw something different from what they were seeing. I got him instantly. You see his standard method in the ring. Someone might be thrown off or flustered or not know what to make of it.”

“But if you studied “The Book of Five Rings” you see Orange Cassidy. The psychological tactics. For a guy who is supposed to be not serious, I don’t see this guy smile. Is he a comedian? I don’t see it. I’m starting to see in the last couple of weeks that this guy is a lot more cold-blooded, even borderline sociopathic. What is he really capable of? What is he hiding with this icy exterior? It’s a potentially much bigger challenge than I have anticipated. He is much more dangerous in evoking and revealing himself before my eyes. That’s exciting.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW Full Gear as it airs on November 23.
