Parker Boudreaux has called AAA his “new home”.
The AEW wrestler debuted for the Mexican promotion on March 17th. He attacked Octagon Jr. and Mecha Wolf, which then saw El Mesias interrupt ad target the former NXT Superstar.
After his explosive debut, Boudreaux spoke with Lucha Libra Online about his motives for appearing the company.
The AEW star noted that he wanted to “show the whole world” what he can do, calling AAA “one of my new homes”. This admission could shed light on his absence from AEW since a tag team match on Rampage in March 2023.
“I’m here to show the whole world that I’m THE big guy. THE most versatile young athlete/wrestler there is on the market right now, and I’m with AAA, one of my new homes. I can’t wait to show the whole world what’s up,”
When he was asked about a potential match in the future in AAA, Bourdreax was coy with his answer. The man nicknamed “the giant” said:
“You’ll have to watch, you’ll have to tap in. I’m not going to say anything else.”
AAA have yet to announce when Parker Boudreaux will wrestle his first match fro the company.
The AAA Mega Title Has Been Vacated Due To Injury
While the debut of the former Harland is a positive for AAA, there has been some bad news for the Mexican promotion.
Their AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo has suffered an injury, and is forced to vacate the championship immediately.
The 26-year-old underwent surgery last month to repair a torn meniscus and a ruptured ligament.
He won the title in December 2021. It was vacant at that time, due to Kenny Omega relinquishing the belt due to injuries following his match against Adam Page at AEW Full Gear 2021.
This ends Vikingo’s reign at 833 days, making him one of the longest reigning champions in the title’s history.
AAA have since announced that a new Mega Champion will be crowned at Triplemania XXXII on April 27, with former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron already booked for that match.
