Jess Hilarious didn’t hold back in her recent critique of Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy. After weeks of silence on her alleged ‘Breakfast Club’ host offer, the comedian put both hosts on blast for their recent comments comparing SZA to Mary J. Blige.

She delivered her thoughts on Charlamagne and Envy via her Instagram Story on Jan. 23.

“These n****s are trash. Envy, shut up! I know artists be pissed when old heads do this bc now everybody negatively comparing SZA to MJB and it ain’t even her fault! She has her own identity already,” Jess Hilarious wrote in a repost of the hosts’ comparative comments.

As previously reported, Charlamagne and Envy were trending overnight after discussing how SZA is “appreciated” in the music industry. Envy specifically labeled ‘The Weekend’ singer “this generation’s Mary J. Blige.” Charlamagne backed his compliment, saying she’s in the same lane of artistry as Mary, Beyoncé, and Rihanna.

Jess Hilarious Speaks After Silence About Permanently Hosting ‘The Breakfast Club’

And while Jess Hilarious quickly jumped to SZA’s defense, she hasn’t done the same for herself in recent weeks.

On two separate occasions, ‘The Breakfast Club’ hosts have alluded to being uncertain about the status of the show’s vacant permanent host position. In a street interview with TMZ, Charla shouted out Jess for her other projects, but wouldn’t confirm or deny if she was ever offered the permanent position.

Charla did make clear that he’s “not happy” with the selection process and isn’t open to rotating guest hosts anymore, as Jess Hilarious served a few times last year.

Jess first announced she had been offered the permanent position during an event in December. Since then, neither Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, or iHeart Radio have confirmed she was offered the position.
