Arsenal prepare for their first Champions League knockout stage in seven years having won each of their last five matches ahead of their trip to Portugal, scoring 21 goals in the process, and bagging at least five on three occasions.

Mikel Arteta's side's strong form has seen them climb up to second place in the Premier League, where they currently sit just two points behind the league leaders Liverpool, having cut down their five point lead with a 3-1 win over the Reds a fortnight ago.

The Gunners make the trip to the Iberian peninsula boasting the Premier League's best record away from home, bolstered by their 5-0 win at Burnley on Saturday afternoon, which followed a stonking 6-0 win over West Ham the weekend before.

The north London side are competing in their first Champions League campaign since the 2016-17 season, and have hit the ground running back in Europe's premier competition, topping Group B with 13 points from their six games against PSV, Lens and Sevilla.

Porto got back to winning ways on Saturday night with a 2-0 win over Estrela having only picked up one point from their previous two games against relative minnows Rio Ave and Arouca.

Recent results leaves Sergio Conceicao's side third in Liga Portugal, seven points shy of the league leaders Sporting Lisbon (who are level on points with Benfica) having also played a game more, leaving them at high risk of missing out on Champions League football next season, with only the top two spots going to Portuguese sides.

Porto's home form is something to feel positive about for the Portuguese side, not having conceded at their home stadium in any of their last five games, and winning nine of their last 10 at the Estadio do Dragao, drawing the other.

The two-time champions of Europe finished second in Group H to book their place, level on points with Barcelona and ahead of Shakhtar Donetsk and Antwerp.

Arsenal have never won an away match against Porto in three previous attempts, and have lost two of their last three matches against them, but their most recent meeting, at this same stage of the Champions League 14 years ago, ended in a 5-0 win for the Gunners and a 6-2 aggregate win.
