Powerhouse Hobbs is ready to make people afraid after recovering from his injury.

The former TNT Champion suffered an injury back in April. He had been out of action since then until he made a surprise return on AEW Dynamite last week, teaming with Ricochet against the Don Callis Family.

The duo went on to win the match as Powerhouse Hobbs signalled that he has now left Don Callis and Company. With a fresh start in the promotion, Powerhouse Hobbs has some goals for how he wants to move forward in AEW.

Powerhouse Hobbs recently spoke with Uproxx about his AEW return. The former TNT Champion noted that he was going to bring his real life personality into his character. He will flesh it out to create a more well-rounded wrestling persona. He added that he’s going to “make people afraid”, but make fans want to see him kick ass in the ring once again.

“I’m going to start bringing my life into my character, the things that I hate, the things that I love. I’m just gonna show everyone how much more intense I can be, how destructive I can be, how I don’t give a shit at times who’s in my way. In the end, this business, there only can be one. It’s going to come to a point where I’m going to show everybody that it’s all about me. They’re either going to be with me or be against me. It doesn’t matter. They boo me, I’m just going to start tearing everything up in front of them.

“And I think that’s what wrestling is missing a little bit. That one guy who makes people afraid, but they want to see him kick someone’s ass. I feel that it’s time to bring it out.” Hobbs said.
