Arsenal fans have stopped crying for two minutes after today’s Premier League official announcement (see below).

The official PL announcement revealing that an FA statement has released news that Myles Lewis-Skelly has had his three match ban lifted.

The 18 year old will now be available to play against Man City, Newcastle United and Leicester City.

The teenager was red carded on Saturday at Wolves, leading to shameful abuse from Arsenal fans aimed at referee Michael Oliver, threats made towards him and his family.

Premier League official announcement – 28 January 2025:

Arsenal have been successful in their appeal against Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card.

The defender was sent off against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday after a challenge on Matt Doherty in the 43rd minute of the match.

The Football Association have tonight confirmed the 18-year-old will not have to serve a three-match ban.

An FA statement read: “An independent Regulatory Commission has upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Myles Lewis-Skelly and removed his three-match suspension.

“The Arsenal player was sent off for serious foul play during their Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, January 25, 2025.”

Lewis-Skelly will be available for selection for Arsenal’s next Premier League game, at home against Manchester City on Sunday 2 February.

He can also play in the second leg of the EFL Cup semi-final at Newcastle United next week, and the Premier League match against Leicester City on 15 February.’
