Paris Saint-Germain is officially set. Last week, Kylian Mbappé (25 years old) announced to Nasser Al-Khelaïfi that he would leave the Free French club at the end of the 2023-24 financial year. This was not really a surprise for the Parisian boss, who had come to terms with the idea since last summer when KM7 sent a letter in which he indicated that he would not exercise his option to extend until ‘in 2025. Despite a few attempts by Ile-de-France management in recent months, the choice of the captain of the Blues was made.

After seven years in Paris, Mbappé will fly to Madrid where he will play for the club of his dreams. But the residents of the Parc des Princes have every intention of strengthening themselves after the departure of the last member of the famous “MNM”. In recent weeks, certain media have mentioned the avenues leading to Victor Osimhen (Naples), Rafael Leão (AC Milan) or even Marcus Rashford (Manchester United). But PSG does not only intend to recruit offensive elements. We have spoken to you on several occasions about the interest of the French champions in Lille’s Leny Yoro. For his part, The Athletic mentioned the name of Gavi.

PSG is all about De Jong

But FC Barcelona is not a seller. It will certainly not be the same for Frenkie de Jong. This Monday evening, Sport explains that the Dutch midfielder is in the sights of the Ile-de-France residents. This is not the first time that FDJ has been linked to PSG since he had already been probed when he played for Ajax Amsterdam. But the 26-year-old went to live his dream in Catalonia. A few years later, De Jong became disillusioned. Recently, the Catalan press explained that he was not happy with the project put in place and that a departure was no longer excluded on his side.

If the door were to open, his preference would go to a club playing the Champions League with ambition. Which is the case for PSG. Sport explains that the Parisians are studying this avenue and are willing to invest 60 million euros. A sum which is also that which Tottenham intends to offer for the Dutchman, also courted by MU. But PSG, which also has its former teammate and compatriot Matthijs de Ligt in its sights, has its chances. However, it will be necessary to offer much more since FC Barcelona wants more money for its player. PSG has been warned!
