With the arrival of Antonio Conte at the helm, Napoli intends to start a new cycle. But the new coach of the Gli Azzurri is in the dark regarding the future of his stars Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian’s situation is also increasingly complicated, after the recent clash between the Neapolitan club and the player’s agent, who claimed “We want to leave Naples (…) With Conte, Naples has big plans. But that doesn’t mean that Kvaratskhelia wants to stay there, I don’t think so”.

And the Serie A club was then offended, specifying that its 23-year-old winger “has a three-year contract with the club. Kvaratskhelia is not on the market. It is not the agents or the fathers who decide the future of a player under contract with Napoli, but the club”. Eager to move in the right direction to extend his contract, Naples then got back in touch with the player and counted on Antonio Conte to convince him to stay.

Naples does not want to let go

But since then, nothing has really moved forward and this has forced Napoli to give in. According to information from the Sports GazetteNaples has now valued Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at 120 million euros. Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to sell him if PSG matches this exorbitant price, otherwise the club is not afraid to force him to go until the end of his contract, until 2027. Naples also wanted to extend it, to offer him a release clause in the summer of 2025.

For its part, Paris Saint-Germain still dreams of acquiring him to replace Kylian Mbappé in attack, and, according to the Italian press, had made an offer of €100 million for the Neapolitan star, with an annual salary of €7 million that has already been validated by the player’s entourage. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has not seen his salary reassessed since his arrival in 2022 in Naples and could therefore go a little more to the arm wrestling. But that will be after Euro 2024, which he is still playing with Georgia.
